David and Martina in Ruddigore - Cirencester Operatic Society

About us

Cirencester Operatic Society (COS) has been producing quality shows since 1952. Two fully staged shows are produced each year, with talented performers and a top class orchestra. The shows are staged in The Barn Theatre (which used to be known as the Phoenix Centre) Beeches Road, Cirencester.

The society is always eager to welcome new members on and off stage. We hold auditions for all the principal roles of a show and for new chorus members.

COS has a constitution which is followed by a committee of members. The committee at present is:

Ian Carling - Chairman
Bryan Bennett & Ian Carling - Directors
Aileen Anderson - Vice Chairman
Rachel Wright - COS Secretary
Liz Gravestock - Membership Secretary
Belinda Ogle-Skan - Social Secretary
Geoff Cox - Treasurer
Denise Cleal
